High West Distillery has announced the return of High West Campfire.

Campfire is a combination of scotch, bourbon and rye whiskeys, ranging in age from 4-8 years and bottled at 46% ABV.

This year’s Campfire batch is the first to be blended with 100% High West own-make rye whiskey.

Campfire has aromas of grilled nectarine, smoked butterscotch and chocolate-covered peanuts, the company says, with tastes of raspberry compote, hickory-smoked apple fritters and salted caramels. The finish resembles smoldering coals and brine.

As part of High West’s “Protect the West” initiative and in tandem with this release, High West will donate $50,000 to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.

“Wildfire season in the West is no longer just a season, it’s year-round. As the true whiskey of the West, High West has only become more committed to protecting our backyard,” said Daniel Schear, General Manager of High West. “With the annual release of this year’s Campfire and as part of our Protect the West initiative, we’re once again donating $50,000 to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, supporting the brave few who run toward these fires. The limited expression is rolling out on shelves now, so we hope you’ll join us in not lighting a campfire, but drinking one instead.”

High West Campfire has a suggested retail price of $79.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
