The Beverage Dynamics Advertising & Promotion Awards recognize and honor excellence and creativity in beverage industry advertising, promotion, merchandising and packaging. Entries are judged for creativity, effectiveness as a sales communication tool and production quality. All winning entries are featured and credited in the Nov/Dec 2019 issue of Beverage Dynamics.

General Rules

Eligibility Requirements

Any original material appropriate to the categories defined below, introduced to the market between July 2018 and June 2019.

How to Enter

All entries should be submitted through the online form available at BeverageDynamics.com/apawards. Please note specific preparation instructions for each category, since different information and images may be required. Credit card payments are required as part of the online entry process. All entries become the property of Beverage Dynamics.

Recognition

Entered information will be used for award certificates and publication of winners in Beverage Dynamics. Each entrant is responsible for supplying full and accurate information. Agencies submitting materials on behalf of clients are responsible for notifying client of participation in the program.

Entry Fee

The entry fee is $199 per entry and is non-refundable. Credit card payments are submitted as part of the online entry process. If you cannot submit a credit card payment and need to mail a check, please contact Content Director Jeremy Nedelka at jnedelka@epgmediallc.com or 763-383-4400 x2213 for a mailing address. Permission for mailed checks will be given on a case-by-case basis. Payment must be received before the deadline, otherwise entries will not be judged.

Judging and Awards

Entries will be judged on the following criteria: creativity, effectiveness as a sales communications tool and production value. Judges include the editorial staff at the Beverage Information Group, as well as other industry experts who will be identified at the time winners are published. All winners will receive an award certificate to share with members of their creative team.

All awards must be submitted and paid for online. Mailed entries or payments sent without prior authorization will not be considered. OVERALL

  • Best Cross-Category Campaign (Min. 5 Categories)

Note: In order to enter the Overall/Best Cross-Category Campaign category, you must submit the same marketing or advertising campaign in a minimum of five additional categories. A separate entry fee is required to be considered for the Overall/Best Cross-Category Campaign category. Entries will be judged based upon the totality of the campaign. Please see below for additional requirements and details.

Entry Requirements

All entries MUST include the names of the staff members responsible for creating the entry, contact information for the person submitting the entry, a $199 credit card payment and a minimum of one high-resolution image.

Additional materials are required for some categories, as detailed below:

 

Overall Winner
In order to enter the Overall Winner category, you must submit the same marketing or advertising campaign in a minimum of five additional categories. A separate entry fee is required to be considered for the Overall Winner category. Entries will be judged based upon the totality of the campaign. In the entry form description, please indicate which other categories the campaign has entered.

 

Video Entries
The following categories require a video, either attached as a file to the entry, or a link that will not expire.

  • TV Commercial
  • Special Video
  • Web Video

 

Detailed Entries
The following categories require more than a single image attached to the entry, or a longer description:

  • Redesigned Label or Packaging: Must have before and after photos.
  • Recipe Book: Must have a photo of the cover and a sampling of pages.
  • Drink Menu: If more than one page, include photo of the cover and a sampling of pages.

 

PR, Sponsorships and Partnerships
The following categories require a description of the campaign/partnership, as well as the goals, results and any metrics that were collected.

The following categories require additional links and other information:

  • Website: A link that doesn’t expire or 3-5 screenshots of different pages on the website.
  • Web advertisement: A link that doesn’t expire or a screenshot of the ad as it appeared on a website.
  • Social media account: A link that doesn’t expire or 3-5 screenshots of different pages on the social media account.
  • Digital game, contest or sweepstakes: Must include screenshots from the site/mobile app where it appeared, as well as a description of the goals of the campaign, and any metrics that were collected.
